Demining Project Kazagići 3 - Goražde
On the occasion of the celebration of Goražde municipality day, on September 18, 2008, Rotary Club Sarajevo handed over the demined area Kazagići 3 with an area of 14,297 m2 to the citizens of Goražde municipality – village of Kazagići. The project value is approximately 12,000 Euros

The initiative was launched by Rotary Club Grosuplje from Slovenia together with the friendly club Dorfen from Germany (Munich area) in June 2008. These clubs raised funds, and the selection of the demining location and project implementation was carried out by Rotary Club Sarajevo in cooperation with Goražde Municipality. Work at the location was carried out from September 5, 2008 to September 12, 2008.
The project relates to land in the immediate vicinity of residential houses in the village of Kazagići, Goražde Municipality, which was between confrontation lines and was not used because there was information indicating a possible danger from mines. The project implementation created conditions for the use and maintenance of several drinking water reservoirs, the local road connecting the villages of Kazagići and Hubijari with Goražde, the local cemetery, family buildings, arable land, orchards and meadows, as well as safer movement of the local population.
This is another in a series of successfully completed projects achieved through the joint action of Rotarians at the international level as aid and support to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in post-war reconstruction and sustainable development.
