During the May 2014 floods Rotary Club Sarajevo, together with clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the District, launched an emergency relief effort for residents in Sarajevo, Maglaj, Olovo, and other affected communities. The focus was on procuring pumps to remove water, dehumidifiers, mosquito nets, and basic furniture for the hardest-hit households.

Kinderarche (Association Mali princ) in Sarajevo was among the first to receive a pump, which helped dry spaces quickly and restore them to use.

A total of 60 dehumidifiers arrived in BiH via RC Sarajevo. Some were immediately deployed in Sarajevo, Olovo, Maglaj, and Zavidovići, while most were distributed to Rotary clubs RC Lukavac, RC Banja Luka, RC Doboj, RC Srebrenica, RC Banja Luka Gloria, RC Tuzla '99, RC Bijeljina, RC Brčko, and RC Tuzla.

RC Sarajevo enabled a donation from the British organization ShelterBox (www.shelterbox.org) of 1,500 mosquito nets, which were delivered to local residents through the Orašje Health Center.

As an additional form of support, the club financed the production and delivery of essential furniture. The total budget for this donation was 5,000 EUR, provided by District 1910, and it equipped the most vulnerable families in Maglaj and Olovo (10 families) with beds with mattresses and kitchen elements.
