Start of Classes for Youth Exchange Students
Second Gymnasium and RC Sarajevo ceremonially welcomed the Rotary Youth Exchange students.
Organized by Rotary Club Sarajevo and the administration of the Second Gymnasium, a formal start of classes for Youth Exchange students was held on September 1, 2016.
Second Gymnasium Principal Said Alajbegović and professor Aida Sejdić welcomed the students, while Rotary Club Sarajevo was represented by President Igor Kurjak, student counselors, and host families. Elizabeth Blumental, deputy cultural attaché of the U.S. Embassy, also attended the ceremony.
The school representatives extended a warm welcome to the exchange students, and President Kurjak thanked the school for hosting them, emphasizing that Rotary Club Sarajevo will provide full support during their stay in Sarajevo. Elizabeth Blumental expressed appreciation to the school and Rotary for their excellent work with youth.
The Rotary Youth Exchange students spending this school year in Sarajevo are Wincent Lacroix (Canada), Chen-Wei (Taiwan), and Michael Landofa (USA).
