Workshop for People with Disabilities Opened in Goražde
RC Sarajevo and partners opened the renovated "Životna pomoć" workshop employing people with disabilities.
Rotary Club Sarajevo and the Association of People with Cerebral Palsy and Dystrophy of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton opened the renovated "Životna pomoć" workshop dedicated to occupational activities for people with disabilities. The workshop produces house slippers using surplus materials donated by the Prevent company and currently employs four people, two of whom have disabilities.
New machines were commissioned to support self-employment and project sustainability. RC Sarajevo president Suad Mahmić noted that the club and its German partners funded equipment and market access efforts, signing agreements with schools and businesses to secure demand. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to supporters, and plans were announced to hire more association members.
