Ceremonial Welcome for Students from the USA
Three US students arrived through Rotary Youth Exchange and will attend the First Gymnasium and Music School.
Sarajevo's First Gymnasium and the Secondary Music School welcomed three students from the USA through the Rotary Youth Exchange program. With approval from the Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Education, they will attend classes as guest students and were greeted with a ceremonial reception. Club president Nazif Hasanbegović emphasized the value of breaking stereotypes, building friendships, and fostering tolerance through exchanges.
Rotary Club Sarajevo places the students with host families of diverse backgrounds who do not receive financial compensation, while three students from Sarajevo simultaneously spend a year in the United States. Sierra Hope Melton, Madison Keri Grant-Neary, and Andrea Melrose Abad Puldo say the warm hospitality in Sarajevo has been a wonderful surprise.
