Three Demining Projects near Goražde Successfully Completed
Rotary Club Sarajevo and German partners completed the third demining project in Kazagići.

On July 22, 2011, RC Sarajevo representatives joined German Rotarians in Goražde to launch the Kazagići 5 demining project. This is the third such effort (following Kazagići 3 and 4 in 2008 and 2009/10) conducted by RC Sarajevo with BHMAC and the municipal civil protection service, implemented by UEM Sarajevo. Together, the projects cleared 73,718 m2 of land valued at nearly €52,000, funded by RC Dorfen, Erding, Freising, Munich Airport, and MINE-EX Germany.
Assistant mayor Meho Hubjer thanked the Rotarians for enhancing safety for local residents. The initiative underscores RC Sarajevo’s long-standing partnership with German clubs.
