Tavla – More Than a Game
Representatives of the Bosnian Tavla Federation presented the game's tradition and growth in BiH.

During the September 13, 2011 meeting, RC Sarajevo welcomed Ramiz Zajmović, president of the Bosnian Tavla Federation, for the presentation “Tavla, More Than a Game.” The federation, headquartered in Mostar, unites 18 clubs, organizes individual and team competitions, and represents Bosnia and Herzegovina internationally with the goal of popularizing tavla and connecting enthusiasts.
Speakers traced tavla’s roots back 5,000 years to Mesopotamia, highlighting its spread across cultures and its inclusion in Bosnia’s sports heritage for all ages. They clarified that tavla is neither a religious game nor gambling, encouraged education and media outreach, and shared further resources at http://tavla.ba. RC president Svjetlana Vukmirović thanked the guests for the insightful session.
