Rotary Youth Exchange 2019-2020
Rotary Club Sarajevo is participating again this year in the international youth exchange project under the auspices of Rotary International.
The Rotary Youth Exchange program enables high school students to spend one school year abroad with the goal of learning about other cultures and customs, and making new friendships.
In the upcoming 2019/2020 school year, through Rotary Club Sarajevo, student Ismar Kovačević will be a guest student at a high school in America, while accommodation and lodging will be organized by friends from Rotary Club Ronkonkoma, New York, USA.
After completing the second year at the Second Gymnasium in Sarajevo, Ismar will continue attending third grade in Ronkonkoma USA from September 2019, and will be involved in a series of school activities, as well as humanitarian projects carried out by the Rotary organization.
"I would like to gain experience through schooling and stay, as well as expand aspects in education during my stay in America, but also contribute to the American community in knowing Bosnia and Herzegovina through the eyes of a young man" are the words of Ismar who enthusiastically wants to take advantage of all the opportunities this trip will offer him.
