Rotary Community Supports Special Olympics BiH
Rotaract, Rotary, and Interact Sarajevo hosted a charity gala to support Special Olympics BiH.
Rotaract Club Sarajevo, together with Rotary and Interact Sarajevo, organized a gala for more than 150 guests marking 110 years of the Rotary family, 85 years of RC Sarajevo, 15 years since its re-establishment, and 12 years of Rotaract Sarajevo. Held at the Armed Forces Hall BiH, the gala had a humanitarian purpose: proceeds from tickets support Special Olympics BiH and help BiH athletes compete at upcoming events.
The Rotary community announced plans to intensify efforts to create a fund for Bosnian athletes, and attendees learned more about Special Olympics BiH, which coordinates over 25 associations nationwide and prepares athletes for the 2015 World Summer Games in Los Angeles and the 2017 World Winter Games.
