Field report: visit to Drin institution after floods
RC Sarajevo members visited Drin after the floods; three homes were damaged, and long-term needs include repairs, heating support, and coal.

Club members led by President Adnan Kovačević, together with Marina Marinović, Senada Sejdić, Damir Neimarlija, and Amar Jaganjac, visited the Drin institution for people with intellectual disabilities (drin.ba) to share a brief field report.
Drin currently cares for about 490 beneficiaries and employs 260 staff. The institution has 9 houses; sadly, two were completely flooded and a third—under renovation—was also hit. Beneficiaries are safe, with 15 evacuated to Reumal.
Their long-term needs focus on restoring these three houses. They require laminate flooring, furniture, appliances, mattresses, and—most urgently—heat pumps and coal for heating.
The team planned to visit Bakovići but had to cancel because the road was blocked and police barred passage. A phone update confirmed coal is the immediate need; a full damage assessment will arrive early next week.
We invite everyone who can help to join and support these efforts!
