Citizens and Modern Urban Forest Management
RC Sarajevo hosted the Forestry Faculty to discuss a regional urban-forest project in Southeast Europe.

At the April 10, 2012 meeting, RC Sarajevo hosted the Sarajevo Forestry Faculty to support the "Citizens and Modern Urban Forest Management in Southeast Europe" project. Funded by Finland's MFA and coordinated by EFI, the project examines urban parks, forest management, and citizens' satisfaction with urban forests.
Discussion with members stressed educating children early about tree care, encouraging them to look after trees they plant, leveraging media to raise awareness, and clarifying authorities' responsibilities while engaging individuals in their local communities to protect urban forests.
